Citroen D5 : Road Captain Cockpits !!!

Typical Malaysia market has taught Citroen that there is most logical and precise matter to consider before selling a car here. In spite of very low resale value and expensive spare part, Proton Tiara the joint venture car between Proton and PSA Peugeot Citroen has been ceased the production in 2000 somehow has hurts the brand further .

So, how is Citroen now. What I can say it is WOW !!!!. Citroen has totally changed and most prominent car manufacturer in France. Various joint venture teach Citroen a lesson to move forward with premium luxury offering.

Citroen D5 is the can be complete incarnation DS Line . The DS5 is an intriguing mix of high-roofed hatchback, coupé and sports estate has mounting pressure on the traditional D-segment family saloon in Europe.

Crafting together several different styles of cars into one package that you can’t find anywhere has make D5 one in his kind. Bring by Naza World the DS5 THP156 were priced at RM195,000 with five-year unlimited mileage warrant. For sure it quite a contender to Peugeot 508.

Powered by 1.6 liter Direct Injection Petrol Engine paired with Six speed automatic gearbox and front wheel drive.. Power at 156 hp, with 240 Nm of torque, achieved 9.7 seconds on time to 0-100 km/h and a tested top speed of 202 km/h.

Standard smart keyless entry, rear view camera, dual-zone climate air-con, Arkamys audio with Denon sound system. Auto wipers, Xenon lights, rear parking sensors, electric front seats with memory and driver massaging driver’s features.

Choices of seat either Fauve Club of Red Club leather with bracelet confection . Superb wheels with 18-inch crafted with black gloss diamond-effect. Safety concern is fitted with ESP, ABS, EBD, EBA and six airbags in total.

Despite split A Pillar and rear screen has limited the visibility during reversing. The cramp and lack legroom at back somehow can be discounted if you not bring adult at your back. Very quite engine and small drama during acceleration but not much noticeable. Suspension weakness notable during kissing the pothole loops. The tire noise is present inside cabin but not bad as Honda Civic FD.

Overall I like the car I interior as pilot cockpit which required at least a week to familiarize. Triple sunroof is plus point but during hot weather it is not a good choice. Large and deep boot is top and best in his class. The car is come near to perfection.
