Honda Brio : We want now ...

Recent rising fuel price in Malaysia has forced Malaysian to change their life style especially inconsideration of travelling budget. Even we have public transport but still it not adequate as the most of the route still not accessible to wide destinations.

Buying a motorcycles is good option but what about rainy day especially for women and kids. Others than that the safety reason took place and consideration. Malaysian road was highest number of accident in world involving motorcycles where sometimes they badly hurt, lose of limb and death were high numbered.
In consideration to similar package the budget a small version car was an good option. Currently Honda offering the cheapest Jazz Petrol CKD version which cost RM 78,000 has attracted number of buyers. But it is still not able to meet the demand of lower income group to own brand name Honda.

Honda Brio is likeable a good option. Recent launch in Indonesia has tip-off a possibility the launch in Malaysia which can targeted the lower income group. The Malaysian banking sector also has been hits with numerous of policy changes on consumer loans and waiting to this kind opportunity to offer the best loan product they have to consumers.
What Honda Brio is offering? According to source Wikipedia, Honda Brio is powered by the 4-cylinder, 1.2 L (73 cu in) L12B i-VTEC petrol engine delivering up to 90 PS (66.2 kW; 88.8 bhp). It is available with either a 5-speed manual or a continuously variable transmission.
Safety equipment includes dual front airbags, anti-Lock brake System, electronic brake distribution and front pre-tensioner seat belts. The driver's side airbag features continuously staged inflation to accommodate a wide range of occupant positions and collision scenario. The front body is designed to absorb impact energy for better pedestrian protection. Incorporating Honda’s G-CON (G-Force Control Technology), the Brio’s high-performance body makes extensive use of high tensile steel in key areas of the frame. Dampers, Trailing arms and Rear hatch area have enhanced rigidity to contribute to steady chassis performance, nimble driving as well as outstanding fuel economy. The Brio’s Advanced Compatibility Engineering™ (ACE™) body enhances self-protection while mitigating damage to other vehicles in the event of a collision.

Will they launch in Malaysia !!! There is possibility that this model will be launch on Proton platform due to Honda-Proton new joint venture recently. This is due to pricing of Honda Brio  if launch on Honda platform will affected the Proton sales especially on new model. Currently the pricing in Indonesia was around RM 45,000 to RM 55,000 which closed to most Proton car pricing.
